Where it goes
Everywhere a landlord has to give an address
Letting a home in England means giving your name and an address to your tenants, your deposit scheme and several registers. Most of those rules ask for an address for notices, not your home.
- Your tenantsUse ours The section 48 notice and the written statement for new tenancies both ask for an address in England and Wales for notices. We send you the notice filled in. Landlord and Tenant Act 1987 s48, SI 2026/324
- HM Land RegistryUse ours Your title shows an address for service that anyone can see for £7. A care-of address is accepted. HM Land Registry practice guide 55
- The PRS databaseUse ours Every property needs a correspondence address in England or Wales that is not a PO Box. Your residential address is still collected but GOV.UK says it is not shared publicly for now. GOV.UK guidance for landlords, 29 October 2026
- Council licence registersAsk For licensed HMOs and selective licensing the public register shows the licence holder's name and address. Councils decide what they accept. Licensing and Management of HMOs (England) Regulations 2006 reg 11
- Deposit paperworkAsk The prescribed information lists the landlord's name, address, telephone number and any email. Check what your scheme accepts. Housing (Tenancy Deposits) (Prescribed Information) Order 2007
When it helps most
One address that stays put when everything else changes
- You move house
No new notices for every tenant and no updates for the deposit scheme, the Land Registry, the council or the PRS database.
- You move abroad
Tenants and the PRS database still need an address in England or Wales. Your post is online wherever you live.
- You change or leave your agent
An agent's address goes with the agent. Yours stays the same whoever manages the property.
- You let a property for the first time
Start with a correspondence address and your new home never goes on the paperwork.
- You buy more properties
One address and reference for every property, at one annual price.
- You are away for a while
Post is still logged the day it arrives and anything urgent is flagged to you by email.

Private, never unreachable
What happens to your post
Logged the day it arrives
We record who it is from, what kind of item it is and the date, under your reference. That gives you a dated record of when every notice came in.
Scanned and in your online mailbox
Letters are scanned within one working day and you get an email to say something has arrived.
Legal and official post comes first
Anything from a tenant, a court, a council, HMRC or a deposit scheme is flagged and you are told the same working day. Signed-for items are signed by our staff and logged.
Originals forwarded when you want them
We post originals on at the cost of postage with no handling fee. Legal and official originals are never shredded without your say so.
Councils will use the PRS database to enforce the rules, with penalties of up to £7,000 for not registering. Their letters are worth reading on the day. Mail handling and service levels in full

New for 2026
Registering on the PRS database? Each property needs a correspondence address
England's new landlord register, called Register your rental property, opens region by region from 15 December 2026. Landlords of assured and regulated tenancies must register themselves and each property at £65 per property a year, with a reduced first payment during the rollout.
Every property needs a correspondence address in England or Wales that is not a PO Box. One Landlord Address can go against all of them and it does not change when you move. GOV.UK says landlord and property details are not shared publicly for now, but some may be made public in future.

Straight answers
What a correspondence address can and cannot do
- It can be your address for notices under section 48 and on the written statement new tenancies need from 1 May 2026, as both ask for an address in England and Wales rather than your home.
- It can be your Land Registry address for service and the correspondence address for each property on the PRS database.
- It cannot take your residential address off the PRS database, which collects it from every individual landlord.
- Written rent demands may still need your own address under section 47, so check yours if you send them.
- It never makes you unreachable. Every customer is identity checked and the service ends if it is misused.
